Privacy Policy

SalahSky has no server. There is no account to create, nothing to log in to, and no copy of your data anywhere but on your own phone.

What stays on your phone

Everything the app remembers — your city, your calculation method, which adhan you chose, your reminders — is written to the app's own storage on the device. It is never uploaded. Uninstalling the app deletes all of it.

Location

If you allow it, SalahSky reads your device's location to work out your prayer times and the direction of the Qibla. That calculation happens on the phone, with no network involved.

Location is optional. You can search for a city by name instead and never grant the permission at all.

What is sent, and to whom

SalahSky contacts these services directly from your phone. No account, no advertising ID and no device identifier is attached to any of these requests.

Each of these has its own privacy policy, and none of them is given anything that identifies you as a person.

Google Play services

Location services — the app asks Google Play services for a position fix. The fix is returned to the app and used on the device.
In-app updates and the rating prompt — only on installs that came from Google Play. These are Google's own components and SalahSky sends them nothing about you.

What SalahSky does not do

No advertising, and no advertising SDK in the app
No analytics, crash reporting or usage tracking
No accounts, sign-in, email address or phone number
No contacts, photos, files, microphone or camera
No selling or sharing of anything with anyone

Children

SalahSky is not directed at children and collects nothing that could identify anyone, of any age.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it and the new version appears at this address.
